Captain America (real name Steven "Steve" Rogers) (voiced by Chris Evans, Brian Bloom, Roger Craig Smith, Chris Cox, Matthew Mercer, and Michael Daingerfield) is a fictional superhero from Marvel Comics. He debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger, and has since been on of the overall protagonists of the MCU. He is the titular protagonist of Captain America films, and one of the protagonists of The Avengers films. Captain America is a super-soldier from World War II who was frozen in ice for 70 years and thawed out in present day, where he resumed his heroic duties. An idealistic hero, Captain American advocates for freedom and justice, as the leader and one of the founding members of the superhero team, the Avengers. After becoming a fugitive from the authorities, he becomes known as Nomad.
